The MOVIE CAMERA, a super 8 movie camera to be exact. The Humans do enjoy their film, however, there are some serious efforts involved to shoot, develop and transfer super 8 footage - all 100% worth it. Filming with these Star Trek like guns only produces three minutes of footage per roll. Fifty feet of capturing beautiful natural and unique effects.
Not only do the Humans love using their super 8 cameras, but these vintage packages are right for so many reasons. The Kodak yellow has been selling cameras for years, add in the other amazing color usage, vintage graphics, minimal text and boom - you have sold us on the packaging alone on so many levels. A stark contrast from all the flashy, cluttered packaging on the shelves today. Or at least that is this cats opinion. Time for your close-up examination, click HERE.

agreed. these packages are so great. love the blog, by the way.
I subscribe to your blog, of course. I find myself commenting only on the posts that feature pics of Watson. Please pardon my obvious preference for that one member of your team. Since I have his “beefcake” picture as my desktop, I gaze at him daily. Keep up the good work, and by the way, you are very talented designers as well! Your fan, molly
This is so very cool!! I’m thrilled to see my Dad’s movie camera package elevated to such status. It WAS my Dad who did all the shooting back in the 50’s and 60’s. To watch our home movies you would think my Mom was a single parent!!
Except for the pricless footage of my Dad peeking into the lens wondering if it was working! We have some memorable sequences of his left eye !!!

I love vintage packaging. I got a polaroid camera when I was a kid and remember treating the box and literature as delicately as I handled the camera. Wish I still had that.
…and who doesn’t love polaroid yellow?
Watson, we got a new kitten recently–I’m sure he’ll love reading more of your blog.
